Laboring for Justice

CIPR celebrated the release of Laboring for Justice: The Fight Against Wage Theft in an American City authored by Dr. Rebecca Galemba! We discussed the book and research with DU alumni and advocates, followed by skits performed by the Romero Theater Troupe. Appetizers and drinks accompanied the art exhibit.

Liminal Legality: Immigration in the Rocky Mountain West

April 7th - 8th, 2022

CIPR's first symposium featured presentations from migration experts, immigration advocates and allies, community partners, students, and legal scholars. At this two-day event, panelists applied Cecilia Menjivar's contributions on liminal legality and legal violence to examine current immigration issues in local, state, and transnational contexts. Each panel focused on CIPR’s three, core pillars:
